ABOUT US
OVERVIEW
In 1992, IRAIC was founded as an investment product based on the annual profit of companies in order to allow a balanced well-being for investors and companies.

Creating a transparent market with market prices that were very accessible to anyone anywhere and developing the technological solution to integrate and distribute those prices and business processes.

Achieving an ecosystem that would create BIEN has been our greatest challenge. Being able to integrate companies, processes with our technological solution and develop a web-based technology that would make us a borderless company that would serve all IFCO buyers and sellers in the world. At the same time developing an understanding of the needs of transactions in the markets from communities, crops, products and services specifically buying and selling as a way to balance the world economy has been a great challenge.

We continue to grow because we put ourselves in the mindset of our clients in terms of understanding their business and their needs. We see the need for a level playing field as a commercial participant. We have analyzed all our markets from the perspective of our clients from day one.

During the early years, the company, which consisted of myself and two colleagues, working day and night, went out to talk to potential clients. We met with over 100 companies in those early years.

E-commerce was not the norm in those early years for companies to implement technology, but companies were looking for the transparency and neutrality of a stock-type trading model.

With shared experience with corporate clients and investors we were able to support a transition to e-commerce, we designed the technology around their workflow, which led to many innovative features on the platform.

When we launched the company with our full trading platform in May 2000, we named it IRAIC (Investment Return by Annual Income Company) to reflect our ability to generate BIEN (Integral Welfare Among Nations) in order to cross borders and serve global markets using our innovative web-based technology platform. The result of that decision is that today more than 40 countries trade on the IRAIC SME Stock Exchange markets, and we have efficiently expanded our exchange and clearing infrastructure in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Singapore, Canada and the United States.

How did IRAIC become the world's first private and decentralized stock exchange?

We saw an opportunity to leverage our expertise in investments, companies and technology to gain access to a global market that was neglected by everyone. At the time, IRAIC was a regional exchange offering private equity, CRE and REIT contracts. In 2022, we opened our expertise and our technology to the world of SMEs and since then IRAIC has begun to expand its portfolio by creating indices that cover the entire global SME market but in a private and decentralized manner with an understanding of the technological requirements to become a global market in the Internet age.

Resilient Company

IRAIC is ISSE and is committed to building a resilient company by placing sustainability at the heart of what we do to ensure the longevity of our ecosystem. Incorporating environmental, social and governance factors into our decision-making is consistent with our commitments as a global exchange, our business interests and our role as a regulator, pioneer and leader of the private and decentralized market.

“In the face of the challenges of driving socio-economic growth and taking action to combat the fake economy, there is an undeniable need for collective and collaborative leadership to find solutions to the problems at hand, driving a healthy and real economy, based on real assets. With ISSE’s leading private and decentralized market platform for real, sustainable and green finance, we work with the IRAIC ecosystem to drive initiatives and develop products that have a measurable impact on the global economic ecosystem and generate BIEN (Integral Well-being Among Nations).”

Founder and CEO

Our vision is to be a leading sustainable and credible transition finance, investment and trade hub with real end-to-end economic products, solutions and ecosystems.

To ensure that sustainability is integrated into the formulation of ISSE’s long-term strategy, the Executive Management Committee (EMCO), chaired by the CEO and senior leaders from across the organization, reviews and assesses ISSE’s sustainability approach, risk management policies and practices, sets targets and measures performance against targets.

Working closely with EMCO, the Sustainability Investments and Sustainable Finance (SISF) team drives the strategic direction of ISSE’s ambitions and further expands and deepens our four core pillars:

As a Company

To lead by example, ISSE is adopting sustainable practices, such as committing to Science-Based Climate Goals from 2021. Our goals are consistent with the reductions needed to keep global warming to 1.5°C, making ISSE the first private, decentralized global exchange to make this commitment.

As a Business

ISSE is leveraging its expertise and capabilities to design and develop sustainability-related products and services for our clients’ investment and risk management needs. Our goal is to build a culture that facilitates a sustainable transition from unsustainable and unreal markets to a real economy market based on real assets, generating Well-Being.

In the Ecosystem

ISSE’s success is interconnected with the ecosystem in which it operates. Therefore, the more the economic, investment and financial ecosystem and their respective communities thrive, the more ISSE will thrive.

As a leading, private and decentralised multi-asset exchange, we recognise the need to support and work with our partners, companies, investors and other stakeholders at every step of our collective journey towards sustainability.
